Gameweek 3 had plenty of excitement for the fans as teams looked to consolidate their domination upon their rivals and get ahead of each other in the tight race to become the champions of England. The first game saw Manchester City travel to the Vitality Stadium to face tricky Bournemouth. The home team were successful in stopping the men in blue after a stunner by Daniels in the first half. But City looked resilient and scored in the second half thanks to a composed finish by Gabriel Jesus via David Silva. Bournemouth were quick to sense the attacking intent and were successful in pressing City men when Raheem Sterling banged home a winner when the clock stuck the 96th minute. Though it was not a pleasing end when Raheem was sent off for celebrating with the crowd after the goal. Other plus points of the game was the sparkling debut of new City recruit Benjamin Mendy. The Frenchman left a good impression in his first appearance; banging in more crosses than the entire Bournemouth team in the first half. Reports suggesting Aguero allegedly hitting a steward went cool far too quick after videos clearly showed Kun was revolting against the harassment of a City fan during the celebration. Other notable results of the gameweek includes United thrashing Leicester at Old Trafford and Chelsea getting the better of Everton in a game which saw Morata score successive league goals in 2 matches. Arsenal were humiliated at Anfield when Liverpool won 4-0. Teams now have to look forward to make most of the transfer market left. It will be a while till we see our boys in action again as players will now look to give their best for their countries in the coming international break. Gameweek 4 starts on 9th.
