Alexis Sanchez’s transfer to Manchester City is this summers’ latest transfer rumour. Although the deal is not certain, Txiki Begiristain is making every effort to make it a reality.
Arsenal hoped to sell him to Bayern Munich – that is, if they agreed to lose Alexis. But the 28-year-old player’s demands and the requested fee for the deal seems to have been on the higher side for the Bundesliga giants.
Chelsea’s interest is waning, leaving City without a rival in the hunt for Alexis. However, regardless of this fact, coupled with Alexis’ wish to switch to the Etihad, the situation is still complicated since Arsenal is desperate not to sell to their competitors.
Alexis, together with his buddy and teammate – Manchester City player Claudio Bravo are both presently at the FIFA Confederations Cup. The duo are actually preparing to battle it out with Germany in the final.
Earlier on, Sanchez made some puzzling comments concerning his future, with Bravo heaping praises on his countryman – not precisely concealing the fact that he would actually like to see Alexis at the Etihad come next season.
Bravo, who spoke to Sky Sports News was quoted saying: “He plays at an incredible level for the national team and an incredible level at his club. He has a great future ahead of him. He’s always reaching new heights with the national team.
He concluded: “It’s great to see him growing as a player. Of course, I would love to have him as a teammate. But it’s not a matter just for the two of us. It’s something the clubs have to go through.”
The interesting hashtag that Bravo used on Twitter on Friday about himself and Alexis #alwaystogether raised more eyebrows.
The million dollar question is: Will the duo be playing club football together come next season?
Only time will tell.
