Manchester City are hopeful of completing a £40m-plus deal for the Germany and Schalke winger.
Manchester City have been warned that they have not yet landed Germany ace Leroy Sane.
The Blues have been in pole position all summer to pick up the Schalke winger in a £40million-plus deal.
But reports that the deal with the Blues is already done, and personal terms agreed with the player were refuted by Sane’s dad Souleymane.
He warned that two of Europe’s most powerful clubs are also in the hunt for the player, who Pep Guardiola made one of his prime summer targets.
“Real Madrid and Bayern are also still in mix,” said Sane senior.
Bayern were initially hoping to stall Sane for a season, as next year a release clause in his contract kicks in, meaning he would be available for £29million.
But Arjen Robben has been injured in a pre-season friendly, and they could now try to hijack City’s deal.
Real have not been on the scene at all, but they have a habit of arriving late and snatching players, as they did with City target Isco three years ago.
