Sergio Aguero – the best striker in Europe romped over the Ethiad putting Gladbach to the sword in a fantastic finishing display.

He has red 13 goals in his last 12 starts in all competitions for City and is now joint 25th top goalscorer in the Champions League with 25 goals, alongside Élber, Van Persie, Crespo and Jardel. Fire.

Tuesday night was ahorribly wet and windy affair and although the pitch drained well the game was pushed back to Wedensday night with Sergio provider the flashes of thunder we had heard the night before.

David Silva was rested after he picked up a knock on Wednesday morning in training so upsteps Ilkay Gundogan to take his place and to start his City Career. What a start it was too – his performance has gained aclaimes by fans and media alike.

Gundogan has been out for 5 months so you would forgive him for being a little rusty, but he looked and played like he has been in a city shirt for years. Him along side Silva and De Bruyne will be the envy and dred of most teams in Europe never mind The Premier League. It was worth the 24 hour wait to see him pull on the shirt – although at the expensive of Silva.

City were phonominal going forward but also at the back Stones and Otamendi look like world beaters and I find it hard to see where Kompany will fit into the team.

Ahead of them is the energetic Fernandinho who seems to have energy to spare at the end of every game.

Sergio hit a hat-trick. Again. Wrapping up the needed three points and putting us and Barcelona in the driving seat.

The Moenchengladbach fans were fantastic. from Tuesday to Wedensday and absolute delight. I feel a real bond between our clubs.

600 stayed behind from the orriginal 1500 and never stopped making a noice. and Gladbach shwoed great banter writing letters to the fans’s bosses to excuse them for missing work to “fulfil the important job” of supporting the side. Brilliant.

Europe is watching

City struggled last year with Gladbach but showed class and strengh front to back to win tonight. This will ahve caught the eye of Barcelona who we play in the group along with Celtic.
