Oleksandr Zinchenko has posted a picture of him signing for Manchester City on his official Instagram page.

The Ukrainian, 19, joined from Russian club FC Ufa on Monday and penned a five-year contract.

His football development is set to continue on loan at a Champions League side, perhaps PSV Eindhoven, as City look to prepare the talented youngster for life in their first team.

He played in all three of Ukraine’s Euro 2016 matches and impressed each of them – and cost City just £1.7 million.

Zinchenko has six international caps – and has already scored his first goal as Ukraine beat Romania 4-3 in a Euro 2016 warm-up game.

It saw him become Ukraine’s youngest-ever goalscorer, breaking Andriy Shevchenko’s record.

He started life in Shakhtar Donetsk’s youth team but the offer of first-team football at Ufa persuaded him to move to Russia and further his development

After making seven appearances in his debut season at Ufa, he truly announced himself during the last campaign where he played 24 times and scored twice.

He’s an attacking midfielder capable of playing in wide areas, who is technically gifted and an excellent dribbler.
